Proper management of antiblastic drugs

Last 27th November  in Trieste by the Theoretical Physics International Center Abdus Salam (ICPT),  there was a conference entitled ‘Proper management of antiblastic drug in paediatric hematology-oncology. Criticalities – Responsibilities – Organizational Models ‘organized by  AIEOP.

APOTECAchemo has been presented to all those who really take care of the drug compounding. Many specialists took part as well as paediatric oncologists, pharmacists, laboratory technicians and nurses daily treating  cancer in a subject as delicate as that one of children. At the conference it has been possible to discuss about the cost of lack of quality in the management of drug oncology. A difficult cost to quantify but which in different ways is still supported by health care companies.

Automation and control of information introduced with APOTECAchemo can significantly reduce the variability of the procedures used in paediatric hospitals, where standardization becomes crucial for research purposes.
